Review by Graham P Ryan
Enola Gay are really going places.
Sofa Surfing by the Irish group is an addictive slice of post-punk. You can sit there, if you like, and dig out the influences. Or you could, and you really should, just sit there and let the searing guitars of Joe McVeigh wash over you. The astute lyrics are delivered angrily by Fionn Reilly, while Adam Copper’s bewitching bassline and Steve Curtis’ drums drive the track on.
Enola Gay, with their very distinctive sound are going large with them already scheduled to play at SXSW and ESNS this year and Steve Lamacq loves em. Enjoy their journey with them, crank up that volume and soak up the awesome.
